Tim Wise Speaks at Miramar College Oct. 18

Tim Wise, a leading anti-racism activist and writer, will speak on campus Friday, Oct. 18. The event will take place in L-105 from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Tickets are available free at https://bit.ly/2OQirrT.

As part of the College's Evening with the Experts Program, Wise will present Student Success through a Social Justice and Equity Lens: A Conversation with Tim Wise. Wise will discuss how, through social justice and equity, we can have a profound and positive effect on the success of students as well as the overall success of the institution.  

A book signing will follow in L-108 from 7:45pm-8:30pm.

Tim Wise has given speeches at over 600 college campuses across the United States. He has trained teachers, corporate professionals, non-profit organizations, and law enforcement officials in methods for addressing and dismantling racism in their institutions.   

This event is sponsored by the Miramar College Diversity &International Education Committee and the San Diego Community College District Diversity/EEO Office.
