New Campus Connect WiFi Being Rolled Out on Miramar College Campus

We wanted to make sure you are aware that fast, reliable Wi-Fi, with expanded coverage for all outdoor spaces, is being rolled out across all San Diego Community College District campuses and facilities.

The SDCCD – including San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges – are building a vastly improved Wi-Fi network called SDCCD-Campus-Connect that will ensure fast, stable connections to the internet no matter where you are on campus. The new Wi-Fi network also offers enhanced security measures to safeguard your information.

SDCCD-Campus-Connect has already been launched at College of Continuing Education’s seven campuses and at City College. The new Wi-Fi system will expand to Mesa and Miramar colleges by the end of November.

Connecting to the new SDCCD-Campus-Connect network is pain-free. Don’t have student credentials to use the SDCCD-Campus-Connect? Worry not. Just visit sdccd.edu/wifi/guest-access/index.aspx to learn how to connect.

Need assistance? In-person support is available at each of the campuses, including the library at City College, Student Services kiosks at College of Continuing Education campuses, and high-traffic areas at Mesa and Miramar colleges. You can also read more about SDCC-Campus-Connect on the District’s NewsCenter website.

If you are still facing challenges connecting to a campus Wi-Fi, please visit the SDCCD’s help desk portal at help.sdccd.edu.

Have questions about the San Diego Community College District’s new Wi-Fi system, SDCCD-Campus-Connect? We have some answers:

For Students:

  • How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
Ever signed into a public Wi-Fi system at a ballpark, coffee shop, or restaurant? It’s essentially the same process. Select the “SDCCD-Campus-Connect” on your mobile phone or computer, and sign in using your student ID and password. Voila! You now have internet access at all San Diego Community College District campuses and buildings.
  • Do I have to log in every day?
No. Once you log in, you’re set as long as you’re enrolled at any San Diego Community College District campus, including San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education
  • What if I’m not computer savvy?

No worries. We have been setting up in-person support during the launch at each campus. You also can reach out to the nearest Student Services desk and ask for help, or you can learn more through our SDCCD-Campus-Connect webpage.

  • Why are we moving to SDCCD-Campus-Connect?
The San Diego Community College District was working with an antiquated Wi-Fi system that required different login credentials for each college. Not anymore. SDCCD-Campus-Connect also eliminates dead spots, most notably at San Diego City College, via the installation of new wireless access points
